So, my character Zephyr is needing some plottage! He's leaving his home of Radiant Garden to venture to the Academy, seeking to actually do something with his life rather than be part of the furniture in his father's home. There, the young mage hopes to study more powerful magic and put his talents to use. Additionally, he hopes to find information on the mark on his forehead, having thusfar never found anything like it in his reading. I'd like to start him off just trying to blend in at the Academy, spending most of his time reading, or just awkwardly, silently, and possibly (in a comedic way) creepily standing there, watching others train or talk, only really answering if spoken to first. I want to gradually ease him into being sociable over the course of his threads, whether at the guidance of a Master or through the goodness of the hearts of his peers. I'd especially love for him to come to know someone who would, adept in the field or not, help him research magic and his symbol at some point, leading up to an eventual temporary return home. Anyone up for such misadventures? xD |

Hmm. Riku is... a patient teacher, so he would work with Zephyr. I'm a little hesitant about having him just notice him or approach him though if only because that's pretty much just what happened with Tao and I'm not a fan of repeating 'plots' with my characters orz But if you had any ideas/thoughts about them I'm all ears? Ven would probably be a little better in terms of someone who would encourage him to be more sociable, though I do kinda see Ven just being like "GO TALK TO PEOPLE IT'S EASY  " and shoving him toward a group of other students. With the magic bit - unfortunately neither Riku or Ven are really that magically inclined. They know it, it's just not something they've really researched or focused on so a magical symbol would be outside their expertise. |

Hmmm... rain likes researching and knowledge, and she likes reading. she's spent a lot of time looking at stuff on other worlds too. Or she can try to look up stuff in other worlds. but she's not at the academy, she doesn't plan to enroll or anything. But she's good at being friendly too.

@ Riku- Excellent! I think Riku would make the perfect mentor in that regards, and Zephyr, while somewhat awkward, would definitely be more than willing to seek him out. While he's somewhat distant, he does want to better himself, and would definitely go out of his way to do so. Perhaps I could post a thread beginning with him searching for Riku?
@ Rain- Academy or no, Zephyr could use a good friend, especially someone who could help with research. I haven't had the chance to read up on Rain yet, but I'm sure he could also contribute something towards your goals with her as well. :3

I just want to make sure that you get that 'mentor' isn't the same as apprenticing Zephyr. Quite honestly I have no idea what... it would take for Riku or Ven to take someone on as an apprentice and since this is something I'm still working out myself I don't want anyone to be like "ermergerd they're threading, this means stuff will happen!". I.... yeah. They're both a bit reluctant for different reasons to train/pass on the keyblade legacy to someone. It's better to just assume it won't happen with either of them really until more threads happen.
But yeah, if you want to make a thread with Zephyr seeking Riku out that's fine.

Oh no, I didn't mean apprentice him necessarily. I don't know that Zephyr would ever be the type to wield a Keyblade anyway. I just mean someone who he can talk to and come to for advice, maybe teach him about the worlds.
