KEYBLADE INFORMATION
- Starter Original Characters cannot start with a keyblade. There are no iffs, ands or buts about that. If you are apping your first character and they are an original character do not ask. If you ask staff will be well aware that you have not read the rules nor read this and we will be rather displeased.
- The only starting characters that may begin with keyblades are canons that have been shown to have keyblades. This would be: Riku, Sora, Kairi, Lea, Xion, Roxas, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. All nine of these characters would be Keyblade Masters as well.
- Technically yes, Yen Sid and King Mickey have keyblades. Due to their importance they cannot be apped for starters, however.
- Any other canon character must start off without a keyblade.
- Characters gain their keyblades by being run through the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremony with a Master. No Master is under any obligation to grant your character a keyblade or to take them on as an apprentice. Each Master may have up to three apprentices but may have as few as zero. This may seem unfair but Masters need to thread closely with their apprentices. If there is little-to-no chemistry between two characters or if a player does not enjoy threading with another player it wouldn't be fair to force them to.
- Characters become Masters after completing ________ threads with their Master. The threads that count toward this cannot be just 'social' threads however. They must be a training thread either in the form of actually training or facing heartless. Once these threads are completed players can petition staff to grant them the status of 'Master'
- If you are apping a second character they may start with a keyblade if - and only if - the player of a Master agrees that they have already apprenticed this character. How far along they are in the process is subject to staff approval.
