The scenery was strange. A large dark navy "wasteland" of data, the grid lines stretching to the far, far walls of the arena. The "sky" was also dark, except for the light pollution from all the rest of the structures in the datascape. And the glowing blue neon lights from her cycle and electronic. It was deceptively peaceful. Rain knew that was going to change the moment the timer reached "zero". She clutched the bike handles and revved the engine. "C'mon," She grinned. "Show me whatcha got."3...2...1... GO! The moment Rain kicked off and sped up, heartless and fake riders came to join the race. She had done this a few times before, getting better each time. Now she was trying to be the best. She had not felt "competitive" in a long time and got excited. Summoning her shield, she rammed into one to knock it back into a wall before turning back to center. One was trying to get ahead of her. "Oh no you don't!" Bringing out her guns, she zapped the second one. |

This was it- this was what she lived for! Blood pumping, adrenaline rushing, Mira was absolutely exhilarated! Time to really have some fun! Let's see what these punks can do! she thought as the timer dropped down to 0. With that, she kicked off, in hot pursuit of the lead racers. Heartless and data racers- it made no difference. Mira was simply in it to win. A Heartless pulled ahead of her, possessing an almost smirking gaze as it attempted to fire upon her. With nearly flawless reaction time, she activated her shield, deflecting the blast back to the attacker. They were seldom more of a challenge than the data-racers.
Steadily and skillfully, she narrowed in on the lead racer, dodging out of the way as they activated their shield, ramming another into a wall. This was already so intense! Just the way I like it! she thought, grinning from ear to ear beneath her helmet's visor. Another racer attempted to pass the leader, only to get mowed down once more. Heh. This one's good. I'll just have to prove I'm better! With that, Mira sped up, readied her shield, and attempted to ram the leader. "Outta the way, chump! Number one comin' through!" she shouted, not even attempting to hide her outright aggression.

Rain couldn't get out of the way of the new person. She activated her shield when she saw the other shield go up. But she skid on the floor and almost fell over. She swerved and glared at the new person as she tried to pass. "Outta the way, chump! Number one comin' through!" Rain glared and swerved again, this time to the middle so that she came up behind the rude person. We'll see about that. She let down her shield and activated her guns. The lasers shot out, and Rain tried to fire ahead and hit the light cycle. The walls curved and she followed the ring, keeping her eye on the person ahead of her. I'm not gonna let you win after calling me a chump!Rain didn't like attacking people, but she didn't like people who were rude either, even in a competition. Besides, the lasers didn't hurt. That badly. |

Heh. Cakewalk. This race'll be a breeze, Mira thought, giggling sadistically as she sped into the lead. When the walls curved, she began to advance further out, distancing herself from the competition- or so she thought. She could see that that same person she'd rammed out of the way earlier was now catching up, and rather quickly, too. "Can't take a hint, can ya!?" she spat, scowling. "Come on then! My boots need broken in, and walking over you should do the trick!"
It quickly became apparent though that Mira needed to bite her tongue, for she quickly found herself spinning out from her opponent's blasts. The other girl and two others then sped past her, prompting an outraged howl from Mira. "You wanna play then!? Alright! Let's go!" she hissed, resuming her prior pursuit.

Bring it, punk! She grinned almost maniacally. Let's see you eat those words.Rain focused on the track ahead, keeping the other two opponents in her peripheral vision. The whir of the engines pumped her blood faster and the fighter brought up her shield in time to deflect a sliding tackle from the other side. But she purposely slowed to avoid a shower of lasers, before opening fire on the other opponent, knocking him or her out of the competition. Then that girl started catching up, and Rain clenched her jaw before bringing her shield up. Heck no, forget it, she was not letting her get away with this! She slid over quickly, intending to ram her right into the wall. |
